These words, somewhat borrowed from the Book of Matthew, ring so magnificent true this morning. Turning on the television this morning and seeing a flock of Palestinians making the trek back to the north of Gaza placed hope in my heart that peace truly is destined for the Middle East. This time, I believe it. The extraordinary measures taken by our government in perpetuating this peace accord came from pure intention and a commitment to fostering harmony throughout our shared world. I don’t care where you stand politically, this is a huge accomplishment that benefits all the nations of our world.
I speak often about seeking peace. It is the highest desire in my life. As a woman living in the Jewish faith, it is most important to me that efforts in obtaining Middle East peace begin in Israel. October 7th is a date that no one should ever forget. The massacre of innocent Israeli souls by a demented regime is even too horrific for my tender soul to absorb. I simply fall to my knees in prayer in order to quell the horror of it all.
I am not one to write on politics. I would rather stick to topics that spread hope and instill a desire to deepen faith in my readers. I do not regard this post as political; I look upon it as a small voice of thanks offered in support of the tireless efforts the current administration has put forth. A Nobel Prize may not have been bestowed upon President Trump this go around, but you can be certain by his all his efforts he has already won the Grand Prize for his humanity.
