BE A KINDNESS SPREADER

Tonight, I’d like to write you a story about kindness, the benefits of being kind, and how to go about instilling more of it in your daily lives.

At one time or another, we have all heard the call to action to ‘Be Kind’, but how do we go about that?  Being kind is a choice we make every morning we wake up to a new day.  By adopting a mindset of kindness, we can heal others hurts as well as our own.  How does that work exactly? Well, choosing to speak sweetly and in consideration of another’s plight, results in a hug for the soul.  In order for this to perpetuate, you must dole it out without the expectation of receiving anything in return.  When you do so, a ripple effect occurs and you inspire others to do the same – you see its contagious!

By acting with a sense of purpose, kindness will automatically flow from your actions.  There are no grand gestures required, just applying good intention as you move forward in the day will bring about results that will simply amaze you.

This is also a teaching moment for the youngsters in your life.  When they watch you apply effort in a way that makes others feel good about receiving a compliment, a gift, or a pay-it-forward action, they will learn the importance of being a good human.

So, as you wake each morning embrace the tenet to go about the day in spreading kindness.  Say please and thank you as a ritual.  Remember, always keep your word – your word is as good as a promise – and promises made should be promises kept.  Resolve to be authentic in this life and by doing so, you will inspire others to do the same!
