I recently wrote ‘Apology Accepted’ about Mother Nature’s sour behavior having moved along, but I take it back because last week I didn’t know about iDalia.
When I first heard of iDalia, I thought it was the latest Steve Jobs inspired thing to have. I mean I have an iPhone and an iPad, maybe I need an iDalia. Ok, I digress…
iDalia arrived here on the Suncoast Tuesday afternoon, and boy, was she in a bitter mood. She regaled us with pounding downpours issued with a 60-mph blow-hard attitude. Yet, she stayed politely maintained 80 miles off my Gulf shore while she sauntered north towards the Big Bend of Florida. Her outer bands and feeding bands, as they were called by the meteorologists, remained behind lingering for another day.
iDalia was not so kind to the folks on the Nature Coast, a sweet swaying area known for its beguiling coastal waters and abundant Florida wildlife. Still in a cranky mood, she slammed down her baggage and left in a huff moving on to see what mayhem she could bring to our sisters, Georgia and Carolina.
So, I am taking it all back. SORRY, NOT SORRY. Glad to see you go, Storm with a Screwy Name. Even though you dumped enough water to replenish our water table, we really didn’t need it all at once. Next time you want to blow off steam, head out to sea!

Thanks for staying tuned, folks. All in all, my village and I all made out okay. We’ve got a lot of clean-up to do, but we are used to that. To the ones who sent prayers, thanks – I think that may well be why iDalia held her fury off-shore, so really mean it, THANKS!
