Is it just me, or have you ever thought that a big oak tree resembles a stalk of broccoli? See, what I mean?
I made a big move recently and landed in a neighborhood whose street is lined with oak trees. It’s graceful, the trees bowing and bending on both sides of the street, a welcoming paradise really. But…
all I can think of when I turn onto my street is I am entering into a forest of broccoli!
Now, you’ll probably never think of a lovely oak tree in the same way again, and for that I am sorry.
“I just love chocolate. It’s God’s apology for broccoli.”
